Weddings Flower Bids and Wedding Flower Trends

Many apologies for not posting since Valentine's Day?!!! I have been very busy bidding on weddings. (I still have some summer dates available.) I am already seeing a trend for wedding flower colors, lots of purple (eggplant) and lots of royal blue. I am also seeing requests for bright orange and "kermit" green! As far as wedding dresses, brides are choosing a very classic look, somewhat Greta Garbo, chic, Hollywood style. Very nice! Also seeing brides trying to cut back on costs because of the economy. No problem. At The Painted Primrose we design for your budget. Any budget. That's my job. Tip of the day: if you have a tight budget, spend the money on the bridal bouquet, choose what you love. After all, you will treasure your wedding portrait with your bouquet in it forever, not the photo of your table centerpieces! Table centerpieces can be creative and not expensive. Use lots of votives, scatter roses petals, or mixed flower petals, or even pebbles to make the centerpieces appear larger than they are. Until next time....www.paintedprimrose.com

Happy Valentine's Day to Every Living Thing!

So it has finally arrived, Valentine's Day! A florist's busiest day of the year. I am a bit tired, a bit dusty, but happy as a clam. Best wishes to all of you. Hope that your roses blooms open and wide. Don't forget to keep the water clean and give your stems a fresh cut! Congratulations to all newly engaged couples as well!

Prettiest Roses on the Planet at Eufloria Flowers!

Click on the above title to view a great video that explains how roses are grown at Eufloria roses in California, the Prettiest Roses on the Planet. I always use Eufloria roses in my weddings. They perform amazingly well and open so beautifully. Brides these days are looking for ways to "green" their wedding, the video will show you how Eufloria does it's part. The roses never leave water, even when transported, like other roses which are shipped dry in boxes on airplanes. How thirsty they must be!

Ask your florist to design your wedding flowers with Eufloria rose, you will love it. View their website to see rose colors and varieties.
