Amanda and Chris Got Hitched!

Our very first wedding of the season, roses and peonies, ooh, lala! The ceremony and reception both took place at Longmont's Lone Hawk Farm. We decorated the wooden gazebo with the last of the season's cherry blossoms. We hung wire bird cages, filled with flowers and hanging foliage from the surrounding trees. Tables were adorned with antique ball jars spilling with wide opening peonies and silvery dusty miller. Shamane baked the fab cupcakes. A lovely day indeed.

Midsummer's Night Eve Wedding

If you know me, you know I love everything fairy. Little fairy garden accoutrements, fairy dust, iron fairies, miniature fairy watering cans, oh the list goes on... Yesterday, I happened across this blog highlighting a magical fairy forest wedding. Heavy sigh. You simply must view the entire post at http://www.fancyhouseroad.com/tag/weddings/
Can you imagine a flower girl tossing petals from her twiggy moss covered basket and unexpectedly tossing out a silk butterfly or two to scatter her patch? I love, love, love it. hugs, Sarah

my lovely boy.

This is my son. He graduates within days. I am ambivilent. Although I am utterly excited for him to spread his wings and fly off to college, I will selfishly miss him so. He is kind, loving and respectful. He has always had a keen sense of business and understands the value of a dollar. He is a fashionista, brave and confident. Congratulations dear son. Job well done. A slight push out of the nest. Look out world - here comes one good egg. Hugs. Mom.
